“We ask ourselves how could this happen in the 21st century that women could be sold? What is painful for me was what happened to the Jewish community and everyone was watching and millions were killed. The same thing is happening [today], the international community saw what happened and was watching,” said Mizra Dinnayi, a Yazidi who runs Luftbrücke Irak, a German humanitarian organization.
