Like Lebanon, it is also suffering from extended curfews and lockdowns as a result of growing Corona Virus cases.\u00a0 From our colleagues and friends we have learned the current situation in Jordan is bordering on a nationwide crisis. The nation\u2019s hospital occupancy is nearly\u00a0full and the economy is collapsing because of the lockdown, the unemployment rate increases daily as the situation grows from bad to worse.<\/p>\n<p>Seth Frantzman from the Jerusalem Post also wrote a very good report that highlighted the leadership crisis with a visit last week by the King to a local hospital. That article\u00a0 can be viewed at:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.jpost.com\/middle-east\/jordan-on-edge-of-crisis-as-covid-cases-rapidly-grow-662295\">https:\/\/www.jpost.com\/middle-east\/jordan-on-edge-of-crisis-as-covid-cases-rapidly-grow-662295<\/a><\/p>\n<p>How to pray:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Please Pray that these difficult days will be shortened and that a solution to the current crisis can be found.<\/li>\n<li>Pray that for God\u2019s favor for our nation and that he shows his mercy to the just and unjust (Matt 5:45).<\/li>\n<li>Pray that this situation leads the nation of Jordan to seek the only true God.<\/li>\n<li>Pray that the local church would be united in its response.<\/li>\n<li>Pray\u00a0that the Lord raise fathers and mothers in the church for the younger generation.<\/li>\n<li>Pray that\u00a0the church walks\u00a0in the strength of His might, not in fear of sickness or pain.<\/li>\n<li>Pray for the believing community from 2 Corinthians 4:16 that we would not lose heart during the current crisis, when we\u2019re losing loved ones, being attacked with anxiety, and our health is at risk, when we can\u2019t get together as families and when we can\u2019t plan anything for our future&#8230; in short that: \u201cWe will not lose heart\u201d.<\/li>\n<li>Pray that\u00a0the church allows Jesus to sustain her and that she sets her eyes on Him. That we would confess to having \u2018blind spots\u2019, i.e; ideologies, principles that are not of Him. , That we as a church would confess these blind spots, repent of them, and ask the\u00a0Lord to show us his way.<\/li>\n<li>Pray that the church remembers the faithful mercies of the Lord during this past year, and asks Him for new mercies every day, for the church and the nation of Jordan.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Thank you for standing with our friends and the body of Messiah in Jordan at this time.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Let us pray for the nation of Jordan at this very critical time.
