At the Crossroads Armenia 2024
Meeting at the foot of Mt. Ararat in Armenia.
Derech Avraham hosts a conference in Jerusalem every two years and invites believers from around the Middle East to come ‘up to Jerusalem,’ to see the land, worship, pray, encourage one another and to ask Him how we can partner together for the promise of a Highway. This year, because of the war, we will meet in late May at the northern end of the Highway near the foot of Mt. Ararat in Yerevan, Armenia. Besides being one of the only ‘Christian’ majority nations in the Middle East, Armenia is also under threat of war as well, after continued attacks on Nagorno Karabakh that has created a serious internal refugee problem. God however, is stirring the Church in Armenia and there is a movement of fasting, prayer and repentance under way that has visited the church in the last weeks that points to 2 Chronicles 7.14 “If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves, pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land.”
As we sought the Lord for this smaller gathering, that focuses on bringing together national leaders to both pray into the vision more intentionally and build relational depth with those of similar heart and vision, the Lord led us to both the beginnings and the legacy of the Armenian Apostolic Church. This is a church located for much of its history in a hostile region of the world, that has not only persevered and suffered for their historic faith, but also birthed revivals and awakenings that released emissaries to different places around the Middle East. For some years now God has also placed a burden on younger leaders to begin to believe for a new wave of evangelists and emissaries to be a witness to the Muslim nations that not only border Armenia but to other countries of the Highway. Together with our hosts in Armenia we were particularly drawn to Yeshua-Jesus’ command to: “Pray therefore that the Lord of the Harvest would send out laborers into His harvest field.” We then decided that this would be the theme of our time together.
In light of the current economic situation in the Middle East, we need your help to bring younger leaders together from around the Middle East. While delegates are responsible for their own travel expenses, we raise scholarships for their room and board. The cost for hosting a Middle Eastern national for the 5-day conference is $300/participant. Please prayerfully consider partnering with us to sponsor one or a number of delegates for ATC 2024 in Armenia.
