Dr. David Friedman, Father, Scholar, Author, Messianic Rabbi, Highway Advocate, and Political Activist. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a beloved Servant of G-D, Disciple of Yeshua, Lover of Torah, Faithful Husband, Devoted Father, Proud Grandfather, Dedicated Rabbi, Humble Teacher, Reliable Friend, and part of the At the Crossroads vision and core group right from the beginning in 2012. He served the practical initiatives of the vision Derech Avraham where he was able to.

David was also a passionate advocate for Aliyah and the Rights of the Unborn, and a Patriotic War Veteran, having served in the Israeli Defense Forces after making Aliyah with his wife of nearly 43 years, Margalit to Israel in 1983. They have two sons Yehoshua and Binyamin and five grandchildren.

Rabbi David ben Nissim Friedman, Ph.D. was born on April 16th, 1953, and he passed into Heaven on Sunday, September 5th, 2021, while surrounded by his family and friends.

David was a UMJC Rabbi, professor at the Messianic Jewish Theological Institute, and former dean of King of Kings College in Jerusalem, where he encouraged not only education about the Jewish roots of the Scriptures but also the development of a very important course on the Life of the Apostle Shaul/Paul and his Jewish background, that served to develop a fuller understanding of God’s call on Israel and the Jewish people to be a light to the nations in our day.

He was the first Messianic Jewish candidate that ran for a seat in the Knesset and more recently served as the Director of Lev Zion Beit Midrash and the Rabbi of Kehilat Darchei Noam in the
Jerusalem area.

“I am still a part of our people. Israel’s destiny is my destiny. Israel’s prayers are my prayers.” – Rabbi David Friedman, PhD

For those who would like to give a gift to his family, ATC and Derech Avraham will pass on everything donated to them. Please add a note “Friedman Family.”
