In the midst of the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, we continue to make disciples and provide a safe place for them to learn the Scriptures, meet their brothers and sisters in Christ and experience life in the community of believers.

Barnabas discipleship program provides a unique opportunity for Muslim background believers from the Middle East, who otherwise have limited access to Bible content and fellowship, to dive deep into a Bible study with our teachers who not only teach them the fundamental Biblical truths but also have a unique understanding of both the historical context of this region and of the events that are currently taking place.

During the two-week intensive program which takes places in the Northern Cyprus, the participants are taught classes on Understanding Discipleship, Spiritual Disciplines, Marriage and Family, Bible Study, Spiritual Gifts. As part of their training they embark on an exegetical excursion of the whole Bible, from Genesis to Revelation. In between the classes, they participate in corporate times of prayer, worship, fellowship and community outreach.

The upcoming discipleship program will take place on the 1-14 of September 2024. This year there will be believers attending from Afghanistan, Iran, Iraq Turkey, Nigeria, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, and there is a possibility of more attendees from Egypt.

Let’s pray that all the participants will have no trouble coming safely to Cyprus and that our time together will truly encourage them in their walk with Jesus and equip them to make disciples in their own respective nations.
